Education - Training

EDUCATION - TRAINING

The duration of education in our faculty is 4 years, with a maximum duration of 7 years, and the language of instruction is Turkish. Our faculty includes the Departments of Interior Architecture, Architecture, Industrial Design, and Urban and Regional Planning. The only active department is the Interior Architecture Department. The Interior Architecture Department's curriculum is aligned with the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) and the Bologna Process; it was prepared by examining existing curriculum plans and information packages prepared by relevant departments affiliated with national and international universities that continue to provide education and training, and has been uploaded to the university's Bologna information system. Students are encouraged to take optional high-risk occupational health and safety training provided by our university during their professional lives. However, since we have not yet produced graduates, there are no institutionally designed feedback systems regarding the achievement of educational goals at the faculty level. When physical facilities are improved and sufficient academic staff is provided, other departments will also begin education and training. It seems appropriate to implement the institutionally designed feedback system at this stage and after the first graduates begin to be produced.

Student Admission and Development

Admission to our faculty departments is based on the Higher Education Institutions Examination. Orientation programs are organized within the faculty to help new students adapt to the institution and programs. Successful students are directed to national and international competitions and events; announcements are made regularly, and necessary academic correspondence is carried out. Announcements of workshops, conferences, and symposiums held within the faculty and university are also made regularly, and the necessary academic and systematic support is provided to guide interested academic staff and students. Meetings are organized between volunteer students and faculty members to determine student interest and demand in these events. The most effective system for providing counseling services to our students is the academic counseling system. Academic advisors are assigned from among the faculty members before the start of the academic year to help students solve their educational, personal, and administrative problems and to guide them. Academic advisors assist students in resolving issues such as registration renewal and course selection, as well as other problems. Department heads and faculty members also provide support for students' career planning when necessary. Student mobility is institutionally supported within our faculty. Exchange coordinators have been appointed to ensure our students can benefit from the programs. Through these coordinators, one student has participated in the Farabi program.
